Originally released on November 8th 2017, Sufferance and Sorrow was Underkript’s debut album. The band’s line up at the time consisted of Matt Anderson, Kane Avery, Josh Wilkinson and Patrick Ralph. Harking back to a different era, that of the Bay Thrash Scene from the 80s, Sufferance and Sorrow blended that aesthetic with stylistic traits found in modern heavy metal. The album was raw, yet unpolished from a sonic perspective. The album was therefore recording in large part in late 2018.

The 6 year anniversary edition of Sufferance and Sorrow sees fully rerecorded parts, blended with original session recordings, that brings the intended sonic experience of the original album to the listener. Discover how Underkript stormed the Hull metal scene with a raw thrash metal sound in the late 2010’s.
